Papaya smoothie


papaya smoothieIngredients:

  • 1 cup papaya flesh
  • 1 banana
  • 1 1/2 cups of 100% orange juice
    (freshly squeezed preferably)
  • 1/2 cup ice (optional)

You can also add a 1/4 inch ginger to maximize digestion aid


  • Halve the papaya and scoop out and discard the black seeds.  Peel the papaya and chopped into pieces.
  • Peel the banana. Place all ingredients in a blender and process until all ingredients are combined
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy

My little one also loves papaya as a snack, it is very sweet, so it satisfies his sweet tooth.

Good to know:

Studies have shown that people that eat the most carotenoid-rich foods like papaya have a significantly lower risk of dying from heart disease and cancer.
