When purchasing shrimp try to go for “wild caught”, dry and fresh.  When purchase in a bag, ingredients should say “shrimp” and that is all!   If it contains ingredients such as Sodium Tripolyphospate “STPP”, suggestion is to go for the one that doesn’t contain this. STPP is a chemical/toxin preservative that is in cleaning products and used as a food preservative! May cause skin irritation and internal inflammation.  More on Sodium Tripolyphospate “STPP” from Bluelightwave.
